Welcome to the Palestine Camp at Lund University. They are here until our demands are fully met.

If you are student come with us to announce to the world that we will not be silent in the face of killing, displacement and genocide

‏The students demand that the university:
‏- make a public statement in solidarity with Palestine, which also highlights the academy’s responsibility.
‏- make public all institutional and financial cooperation with Israeli institutions and companies that are involved in the Israeli occupation.
‏-contributes to financial, political and academic support for the Palestinian education system as well as Palestinian students, researchers and teachers.
‏-make public and end all institutional and financial cooperations with Israel.

THE VICE CHANCELLOR HIDES FROM MEETING WITH US
Our university is once again ignoring the students’ and staff’s voices and putting our demands on hold. Today after our walkout we entered Segerstedthuset for a sit-in requesting that the vice chancellor Anders Hagfeldt would come to our encampment to meet us and discuss our demands. We sat on the stairs and chanted while some of us managed to open a dialogue with the security, that claimed with subtle rhetorical skills to submit our request to the vice chancellor if we stopped chanting. After sitting quietly for an hour, in which Mattias Gardell gave us a fantastic improvised lecture about the history of racism and colonialism, we still hadn’t received any answer and the vice chancellor was said to be unavailable. This is why we couldn’t keep quiet: the chants resumed but weren’t listened to. In the meantime we made sure that all of Segerstedthuset was made aware of the university’s collaborations with the genocidal Israeli institution by distributing information about it! We will continue to pressure Anders Hagfeldt and the board of Uppsala University to meet us in order to follow our demands.

Dag 2 av vårt läger avklarad. Universitetsledningen svarade med att de är en statlig myndighet och inta kan göra något utan uppmaningar från regeringen. Trist svar men vi kämpar fortfarande.

Vi har dessutom skapat en namninsamling som riktar sig till alla universitetets anställda som ställer sig bakom våra krav. Vi får otroligt mycket support av alla omkring och på sociala medier och det är vi tacksamma för❤️

Vi är nu även några fler och har därför expanderat campingområdet för att rymmas allihop❤️

Många stöttar och många kämpar! Vi sitter kvar till dess att universitetet tar sitt ansvar 🇵🇸❤️

Vi har nu samlat in 97 000 kronor till studentprotesterna på KTH och SU.

Här är en liten uppdatering om vad pengarna använts till:
– Partytält, tält, campingutrustning
– Snöre och verktyg
– Färg och banderoller
– Mat (vegansk mat som komplettering till restaurangdonationer och ingredienser till folkköket)
– Plastlådor och annat för förvaring

Studentgrupperna @encampment.su och @kthforpalestine har också tagit beslut om att ge ekonomiskt stöd till protester vid andra universitet där det finns behov.
